Around four weeks to go until our event to mark 30 years of Society in Switzerland on 12 October. The anticipation is building!
In addition to the two tastings already announced with Olaf Meier (Olaf’s Choice and Islay Rarities), I am happy to share a few other specialities that you can get to know on this day.
“BE SCOTTISH”: Our member Christoph Steffen and his partner import and distribute the products of Highland Soaps Co. in Switzerland, among others. They will be there with their “Be Scottish” stand. Discover, among other things, the “Whisky & Honey” product line for a piece of Scotland in your bathroom.
Many of you know Simon Schmidlin as a helper at our tastings across Switzerland. On 12 October, he will be presenting all the different types of sherry from Bodegas Tradiciòn and explaining the differences. After our first visit to Jerez, his comment was: “Now I’ve drunk more sherry in two days than in my whole life before”. And he continues to drink sherry!
Robin Laing has given his performances small titles – Robert Burns & Whisky, Whisky & Women, Whisky Men, Island Whiskies & Speyside Drams and last but not least Robin’s Favourites. Those who know his repertoire will at best be able to assign songs to the individual themes.
All those who are tempted by our other spirits as well as whisky have the opportunity to discover three new rums. We present all non-whisky bottlings separately so that everyone can keep an overview.
